Prince Andrew has tested positive for coronavirus and will not be attending St Paul's Cathedral thanksgiving service for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace said: "After undertaking a routine test the Duke has tested positive for COVID and with regret will no longer be attending tomorrow's service."The Queen's Platinum Jubilee marks her 70 year reign on the throne.According to Sky News, the Duke of York, 62, has met with the Queen in the last few days, but has not seen her since he tested positive for the virus.On Wednesday the prince was pictured in high spirits as he rode a horse on Windsor's Royal Estate.

Before the Queen Jubilee began, it was confirmed that Prince Andrew, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, would not be appearing on Buckingham Palace's balcony due to them not being working royal family members.A statement from the palace said:"After careful consideration, The Queen has decided this year's traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those Members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of The Queen. "While Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex stepped down from royal duties in 2020, Prince Andrew had his royal patronages and military titles taken away after facing sexual abuse allegations.
