We now deem this case closed."The victim, also known as Melvin George Townsend III, is from Florida and has had multiple prior prison sentences for a variety of crimes, including possession of drugs, burglary, grand theft, fraud and trafficking stolen property. He was last released from a prison in July 2020 after serving a 15 month sentence for 'theft of a trailer by trespassing and hitching the unit to his pickup' and his use of a 'fraudulent personal ID'.
