Well… actions have consequences👀
The man who went viral for confronting US streamer Marlon Garcia in a London chicken shop has now been FIRED from his job.
The individual, who was seen wearing a hood and balaclava while getting in Garcia’s face during the tense encounter, has been dismissed from his role as deputy director at MERIDIAN.
The organisation confirmed they launched an immediate internal investigation after the video began circulating online.
In a statement, they made it clear the behaviour shown did not align with their core values, which include respect being mandatory, consent being non negotiable, and zero tolerance for harassment or intimidation.
Following a review of the footage and internal processes, the company confirmed the individual has been removed from all roles with immediate effect and will not be allowed to represent MERIDIAN in any capacity going forward.
They also issued an apology to Garcia and his partner, acknowledging the seriousness of the situation and confirming they have reached out directly.
The viral clip, which showed the masked individual repeatedly invading Garcia’s space while being filmed, sparked major backlash online, with many calling the behaviour out as clout chasing and unnecessary.
Now, it has cost him his job.
