American Twitch streamer Marlon Garcia has broken his silence after footage of a tense encounter inside a London chicken shop began circulating widely on social media.
Garcia was dining at a restaurant in the city alongside a woman when he was approached by a group of individuals, with the situation quickly escalating and being recorded. The clip has since gone viral, drawing widespread attention and prompting discussion online.
Speaking about the incident, Garcia suggested the situation could have become more serious, claiming he was effectively outnumbered during the confrontation. Taking to X, he wrote:
"Went out to get food at a chicken shop here in London just now, almost turned into a 4v1 again bunch of fkn weirdos here One of the worst experiences I've had with someone, weird place"

The video shows a person wearing a ski mask and a hoodie approaching Garcia while he is seated with a woman. Garcia appears to ignore the individual at first, while the person filming continues to move closer, making gestures and eventually bringing the camera directly into his face.
As the interaction unfolds, Garcia can be heard asking the individual to “chill out” multiple times in an attempt to de escalate the situation. A woman, who can be heard off screen, then questions the behaviour, asking, "what are you doing?"
The person filming responds directly to Garcia, pointing at him and saying,
"Don't tell me to chill brother, don't tell me, 'chill' bro."
Garcia is then seen attempting to move the person’s hand away from his face, while other voices can be heard in the background as the situation continues to draw attention inside the restaurant.

The clip has since sparked strong reactions online, with many viewers criticising the behaviour of those involved in confronting the streamer. Some described the incident as uncomfortable to watch, particularly given Garcia’s attempts to remain calm throughout.
One commenter said,
“He is a groupie lol and got very excited over another man... even his friends were telling him to leave him alone.”
Another wrote,
“Actually sick. Objectifying the lady & harassing someone minding their business. What was the need?”
A third added,
“This is very weird behaviour, shout out to him [Marlon] for remaining composed.”

Earlier this year, Garcia was also inadvertently thrust into the spotlight in connection with Love Island UK star Indiyah Polack. A short video filmed at a London restaurant showed Polack and Garcia sharing a kiss, prompting social media speculation about their relationship and contributing to the end of her three year partnership with television personality Dami Hope.

Although both have addressed the situation publicly, Polack issued a statement taking responsibility for her actions, and Garcia maintained that he was single at the time and not seeking to involve himself in controversy, highlighting his preference for privacy amid heightened online scrutiny.
The incident has added to ongoing conversations about public behaviour and the treatment of online personalities when they are recognised in everyday settings. While encounters between fans and content creators are not uncommon, situations like this highlight how quickly interactions can escalate when boundaries are ignored.
