British influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, popularly known online as Klaudia Glam, has reportedly died after being mowed down by fellow influencer Rielle UK, when she mounted the pavement and struck several pedestrians in Soho.

The incident happened around 4.30 am on Sunday morning on Argyll Street, Westminster (between Oxford Street and Great Marlborough Street), in central London’s busy retail and theatre district. Zakrzewska was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she was declared in a very ’critical condition’.

Initial reports had suggested she died closer to the time of the incident; however, friends of Klaudia’s were quick to refute those claims, telling online observers that she was still fighting for her life. However, as of 20 April, it was purported by a friend of Klaudia’s, who also claimed to have been with her during the incident and can allegedly be seen in the video, that she had now passed. In one photo post that Klaudia's “best friend” shared with her and Klaudia pressing their cheeks against each other whilst making kissing faces, she said:

“Words can’t describe my pain right now my fucking best friend my sisterrer maynnn”

On another post she added:

“No one understands the kind of pain I’m carrying right now. It feels like everyone is more interested in being fast, nosy, or twisting the story into something that isn’t even real and it’s tearing me apart inside. While they talk and speculate I’m the one left with the memory of watching my best friend someone I love get killed right in front of me… left there, fighting for their life, slipping away. That image doesn’t leave me. It replays over and over, and I can’t escape it. And somehow, I’m expected to just sit with that. To hold all of it in while people who weren’t there act like they know what happened. It hurts in a way I don’t even have words for. It feels heavy, lonely, and suffocating like I’m stuck carrying some.”

Police have yet to confirm Klaudia’s passing, but several reports from those who claim to have known her have alleged that she succumbed to her injuries.

The driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink-driving, and remains in custody. Though police are yet to confirm the identity of the driver, many online reports have identified her as fellow influencer and hairdresser Gabrielle Carrington, also known online as RIELLEUK, who has over 359,000 followers online, many of whom have begun leaving comments on her page related to the incident. Carrington also appeared as a finalist on The X Factor in 2013 in girl group 'Miss Dynamix.'

A series of videos circulating on social media depict the harrowing incident, with more details emerging by the day. The most prominent video appears to show the driver running her black car into Klaudia, whilst someone in the crowd shouts “don’t run her over”. However, Rielle proceeds to run over Klaudia and can be seen hitting another man who is left injured on the floor near a bicycle. The man is reported to be a bystander in his 50s who was unsuspectingly caught in the crossfire of Rielle’s alleged actions.

As of now, there is no official confirmation that Klaudia Glam has died and Rielle remains in custody on suspicion of “attempted murder”; there has been no formal upgrade of her charges. The incident, which also left a second woman, also in her 30s, needing treatment for minor injuries, remains under investigation by DCI Alison Foxwell of the Metropolitan Police.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, of Specialist Crime South, has urged any potential witnesses to come forward. She said:

’As our enquiries continue, our thoughts are with those injured and their loved ones. While this incident took place in the early hours of the morning, venues in the area were still open, and we believe a number of people will have seen what happened. I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or any activity prior to it that they feel may be of relevance, to come forward.

‘The information you have - however minor you believe it may be - could be of crucial importance to investigators.’
