UK drill rapper Digga D has officially touched road again, and fans didn’t need a press statement to know it. Just one Snapchat photo!. Hours after walking free from HMP Wormwood Scrubs on October 6th, the rapper posted a series of blurry, celebratory selfies that immediately went viral, flooding timelines across X and Instagram.
There was no caption, no message. But that was enough to send the internet spiralling. One fan page, @MusicConnoisseu, tweeted: “DIGGA D IS FRESH HOME 🔥 THE KING OF DRILL 👑 THAT FRESH HOME TRACK IS GONNA BE NUTS,” pulling in over a thousand likes. Another, @UKHipHopDaily, shared the same photos with the caption: “Digga D First Pictures Since Released From Prison”
VE Media (@ve_ldn) went further, turning the snaps into a quick edit that showed fans copying his poses in celebration. The reactions came fast. “Looking fresh and happy!!!!” one person wrote, while another said: “He’s about to drop something generational.”
Digga’s early release marks the end of a chaotic chapter. Back in February 2024, he was arrested live on Instagram when police raided his home in Lincoln, uncovering what prosecutors described as a large-scale cannabis supply operation. He later admitted to some charges (including smuggling and supply) but denied the full commercial allegations.
In January 2025, he was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court, with the judge highlighting his case pointing out how serious and profitable the operation was. Having served almost a year in custody and benefitted from time off for good behaviour, Digga was quietly released in early October. However, his legal matters aren’t over just yet. Authorities are still reviewing his assets, with a hearing scheduled for January 2026, potentially putting some of his jewellery and investments under scrutiny.
Still, none of that stopped the celebration. For a rapper whose career has been shaped by both hits and handcuffs, from his 2018 Criminal Behaviour Order to multiple periods in custody, this comeback moment feels personal. No long caption, no interview, just a photo and a smirk that says it all.
