David and Victoria Beckham publicly wished their eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, a happy birthday on Wednesday despite a highly publicised family rift that has dominated headlines in recent months. The couple shared heartfelt messages and throwback photographs on Instagram as Brooklyn celebrated his 27th birthday.
Former England captain David Beckham posted nostalgic photos of Brooklyn as a child, including one of the family together in a swimming pool. Alongside the images, he wrote: “27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you,” using thenickname he has long used for his son. Victoria Beckham followed with her own post, sharing childhood pictures and writing:
“Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much.”
The posts come amid an ongoing estrangement between Brooklyn and his famous parents. In January, Brooklyn released a lengthy statement accusing them of prioritising “Brand Beckham” over family and attempting to interfere in his marriage to actress Nicola Peltz Beckham.
Among the claims were allegations that Victoria withdrew from designing Nicola Peltz’s wedding dress shortly before the couple’s 2022 wedding and that tensions during the ceremony left him feeling uncomfortable. Brooklyn also alleged that his parents attempted to control narratives around the family in the press.
Despite the accusations, David and Victoria have not publicly responded to the claims. Their birthday tributes are widely seen as an olive branch, marking the first public acknowledgement of Brooklyn since the dispute escalated earlier this year.

Brooklyn Joseph Peltz Beckham, born in London in 1999, is the eldest child of the celebrity couple and has built a public profile through modelling, photography and media projects. While the family tensions remain unresolved, the birthday messages suggest the door for reconciliation may still be open.
