Victoria Everest addresses abuse claims, childhood trauma, and her rise in wellness while setting the record straight in a new viral interview.
Health influencer, Victoria Everest has been all over the timeline these past few weeks, and the drama doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon. From an old viral video to Dr Aris Latham calling her out and now a sit-down with Trend Central, here’s how it all unfolded.
It started when an old video resurfaced online showing Victoria talking about faking a rape allegation years back. The clip spread fast, with many people on socials dragging her and accusing her of damaging the credibility of real victims. Others argued that people change and she shouldn’t be punished forever for her past. Either way, the backlash was heavy, and the internet wasn’t ready to forgive just yet.
Before the dust could settle, another wave hit. Dr Aris Latham, founder of Sunfired Cuisine and a respected voice in the wellness space, spoke out about his experience working with Victoria. In a video that quickly circulated online, he accused her of overstepping in his brand and trying to take control of his operations.
According to him, she had access to everything: his Instagram, his phone, even his computer. He alleged she was creating content under his name using AI tools like ChatGPT, and even trying to copyright recipes that didn’t belong to her. He said:
“She was in total control of my Instagram, my computer, my cell phones, all of these things were in her hands”.
Dr Aris admitted that Victoria helped grow his platform , his Instagram went from 690K to 1M during their time working together but claimed the cost was too high. Viewers online quickly picked sides, with some praising Victoria’s hustle and others warning people to steer clear.
With the heat turning up, Victoria decided to address everything directly. She sat down with Trend Central in a much-anticipated video to speak on the controversy. In the interview, she touched on the old allegation clip, her history with abusive relationships, and the accusations from Dr Aris.
“It's been an incredible experience and yes, we're right in the middle of the retreat, but it was really important for me to be able to take the time out and respond to, you know, this video and really just share some light, shed some light around it as well.”
She also revealed deeper struggles behind the scenes: growing up in a home with domestic violence, an absent father, and repeatedly falling into abusive relationships. Victoria says she even called the police 19 times out of fear for her life.
“I witnessed the most horrific, horrific acts of domestic violence. I kept finding myself in relationships with abusive men”
She acknowledged her mistakes but also stressed that her story has layers people aren’t seeing. At one point, She said:
“People are quick to label you without knowing the full story. I’ve had to deal with things behind closed doors that the internet will never understand”
She also doubled down on how the narrative online often twists against her, adding: “I’m not here to convince everyone, but I know my truth. And at the end of the day, the people who matter know it too”.
Victoria acknowledged the resurfaced video was real (after initially denying it or calling it fake/AI).She said people have focused only on her anger & hate from that video, and wants to “set the record straight.”
“Whilst I said some extremely, extremely, you know, vile things in that video, a lot of people have really focused on the hate and the anger and I have to set the record straight”
She explained that the video was around 7 minutes and edited to present her poorly. She claimed she wasn’t always personally handling her account sometimes team members do.
Adding another twist, Victoria claimed a man named Jason once paid Gucci to release that same video years ago, which ended with her being charged, cautioned, and put on probation.
“Jason paid Gucci to release the video. As a result of that video being provided to the police, I was charged, cautioned, and I had to go on probation. So I have a criminal record “
The sit-down interview created just as much buzz as the resurfaced video, with viewers divided between believing her and questioning her motives. For some, it was her most vulnerable moment yet. For others, it was another attempt to control the narrative.
Despite the backlash, Victoria appeared calm, crediting her support system and her 21-day juice fast for keeping her grounded. She insisted that she’s focused on building her wellness academy and retreats, and thanked her followers for standing by her through the noise.
Victoria Everest has always been a polarizing figure and with this recent string of events, it seems the internet isn’t done debating her just yet.
