AGAIN?! UK WEATHER MAPS PREDICT EIGHT-DAY 'SCORCHING' HEAT WAVE IN JULY

The UK could be set for another prolonged spell of scorching weather, with some long-range forecasts suggesting parts of England may see temperatures climb as high as 41°C during an eight-day heatwave in July. While official forecasts continue to evolve, forecasters say the country is likely to experience another period of hot, settled conditions following June's record-breaking temperatures.

The warning comes just days after Britain endured one of its most intense June heatwaves on record, with temperatures topping 37°C in parts of England. The extreme heat caused widespread disruption across the country, particularly in London, where rail operators introduced speed restrictions, services were delayed or cancelled, and commuters were urged to avoid travelling unless necessary. Schools shortened days or closed entirely, while hospitals and emergency services faced increased pressure as the heat pushed infrastructure beyond its limits.

Social media has quickly filled with jokes about the country's infamous lack of air conditioning, with many saying they'll be "fighting for their lives" on public transport or trying to sleep through tropical nights armed with nothing more than a desk fan and an open window.

Others joked that British homes are designed to trap heat rather than release it, while some questioned how they'll survive another week of sweltering temperatures if forecasts prove accurate.

Although forecasts of 41°C remain uncertain, meteorologists agree that above-average temperatures are likely to return in early July as high pressure builds over the UK. Officials continue to urge people to stay hydrated, avoid the hottest parts of the day where possible and keep an eye on vulnerable friends, relatives and neighbours if another significant heatwave develops.
