The BBC will be developing a new Comedy Series alongside social media star Stevo the Madman. The project will be based on improvisation, and will be very similar to his current snapchat stories of his day to day life, but will be slightly more structured.
The script for this upcoming project has been developed alongside Javone Prince, and Leo McCrea will be the director.British Comedy Guide has now revealed that one episode will focus on Stevo attempting to invite Chris Eubank to his daughters birthday party, after sadly failing to convince Big Narstie to make an appearance.
Stevo the Madman AKA Kevin Stephens previously played professional football for teams such as Leyton Orient and Newport County. However, hevowed to never play for Newport again due to racist abuse directed at his fellow teammate, Stuart Douglas.
Since then, Stevo has become a very popular figure and has recently had a very successful career in television and as a social media influencer. He has featured on JD Sports, Celebrity Coach Trip, Celebrity Come Dine With Me, and even covered the Superbowl on BBC Sport in 2020.
When he appeared on 'The Mo Gilligan Podcast' he spoke about his television career in a bit more detail: "TV is just slow. For instance, with my Snapchat show we done last week, I shot six episodes in three days.
With the pilot, that was three days and we got one episode."My argument I'm having with them is that I want it to be a sitcom, rather than you say, it's a reality [show]. Because I want people to see that this sitcom looks real because it's from my real life, it's my real friends. It's real but we have written elements in it." He went on to add.Residents, are you looking forward to the release of this series?
