Scott van-der Sluis sparked a fresh feud with former villa pals Whitney Adebayo and Belle Hassan when he took to X to accuse them of fabricating stories about his actions while on Love Island: All Stars, specifically regarding a dentist appointment that allegedly changed the course of his relationships on the show.

He wrote,

“Three weeks to cook up a story to clear their name and this is the best they could do, the problem with agreeing to lie is your always going to slip up, Should have just got their TikTok friends to say it and take the heat.”

The row centres on claims first made by Belle on The Great Company podcast, where she said that Scott had been to the dentist during filming in South Africa, and while there he gained access to a phone and used it to Google things such as football scores and more importantly, press coverage. According to Belle, after seeing he could be more popular with another partner, Scott allegedly shifted his romantic interest, which she suggested contributed to tension between them. She said,

“He went to the dentist and he started Googling. He basically had looked up who was the favourite at the time, at the time he said I was the favourite girl.”

Whitney echoed this sequence of events on The Wunmi Bello Show podcast, however, her and Belle's stories did not seem to align. Whitney explained that Scott had a root canal and during that time ended up with a phone which he used to find out that the public wanted him with Leanne Amaning rather than Belle. She claimed,

“Scott ended up getting access to a phone and then he found up the public wanted him with Leanne, and then he obviously came back and did a 180 on Belle, that’s why Belle went crazy.”

According to Whitney, it was this perception of him making decisions based on outside information that led to scenes of Belle expressing anger in the villa, with Belle accusing him of choosing logic over emotion, asserting she “knows the truth” behind what happened behind the scenes.

Scott’s response on X was swift and uncompromising, directly labelling the narrative put forward by Whitney and Belle as a collective fabrication. He suggested the story had been constructed to help them justify their actions and preserve their reputations, and that the inconsistencies in the account showed it was not truthful. His post read,

Whitney then shared screenshots of private conversations between herself and Scott on her own X account in response, with the caption,

“As your founder, don’t try me because I will not conform to your lies. all this for clout? so sorry for you.”

In the exchanges she posted, Whitney appeared to remind Scott that she had supported him with every connection he had shown interest in, and even referenced the dentist incident, adding,

“Even the dentist talk, I backed you and didn’t give it beans.”

The controversy has since spilled beyond social media posts, contributing to a wider fallout among former villa friends, with Scott and his partner Leanne reportedly unfollowing Whitney on Instagram, and Whitney reciprocating the action.
