Chelsea winger and former England international Raheem Sterling has been the victim of another attempted burglary — this time at his luxury home in Berkshire. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, when Sterling, 30, was at home with his partner Paige Milian and their children. Intruders reportedly broke into the property but fled the scene after being disturbed, escaping before they could steal anything.

It remains unclear whether the burglars believed Sterling would be away attending Chelsea’s 3–0 victory over Wolves. The forward, who has earned 82 caps for England, has yet to feature for Chelsea’s first team this season.

A spokesperson for Sterling confirmed the incident in a statement: “We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend. He and his children were at home at the time. While this was an unacceptable invasion of privacy and safety, we are grateful to confirm that everyone is safe. We ask that Raheem and his family’s privacy be respected during this difficult time.”

Thames Valley Police said officers are conducting a “thorough investigation” and have urged anyone with information or who noticed suspicious activity in the area to come forward. Chelsea FC are understood to be aware of the incident and are offering full support to the player. Sterling lives in Berkshire with his long-term partner Paige Milian, a property developer and entrepreneur and their five young children.

This is not the first time Sterling’s home has been targeted. During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he returned home after his property in Cobham, Surrey was raided while his family were inside. In that case, around £300,000 worth of jewellery and watches were stolen.

In 2023, police named three Albanian nationals — Alfred Isufi (48), Gerard Kalaja (22), and Henri Osmani (44) — as suspects linked to Sterling’s burglary and more than 30 other high-value break-ins across Surrey, Essex, Kent, and Hertfordshire. Authorities later reported that the trio were believed to have fled the UK. A fourth man, Emiliano Krosi, 24, was convicted last year of 33 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary. Investigators estimated that the group stole approximately £1.1 million in valuables between October 2022 and March 2023.
