Many Love Island fans were left unhappy after Teddy and Faye's row sparked a staggering 25,000 Ofcom complaints.
After the footage was shown of Teddy is Casa Amor, Faye was left fuming and confronted Teddy about his actions. She was screaming and shouting, as well as swearing at him multiples times. She was also seen putting the middle finger up to Teddy. The clip in question showed Teddy speaking to Casa Amor girl, Clarisse and telling her that he found her attractive. He went on to refer to himself as "technically single" and further footage showed him and Clarisse kissing in a challenge. The majority of the 24,763 complaints were in relation to the behaviour of Faye in particular.
"We've received a high volume of complaints about last week's Love Island, which is consistent with a trend of growing complaints about high-profile TV shows," a spokesperson for the broadcasting regulator said.
"We are carefully assessing the complaints we've received, before deciding whether or not to investigate."
It seemed that Faye had a change of heart when she apologized to Teddy a few days later for her behaviour. She said: : "First and foremost, no beating around the bush, I am really sorry for the way I spoke to you, like really sorry. There's no excuse for the way I spoke to you or how I raised my voice, and no one should have someone speak to them like that"
However, it seems that there may have been a bit of more behind her apology. A TV Insider spoke to MailOnline and said: "Faye was ordered by producers to apologise to Teddy, and not only that but to grovel for forgiveness."The source also added: "They warned if she refused to back down her place on the show could be in doubt and as the latest arrivals have shown, there's always a new contestant waiting in the wings."There has been quite a storm on Twiter, and fans have mocked the show for thinking that fans wouldn't find out that Faye was ordered to apologise.
TV Star, Sam Thompson felt that Faye's apology wasn't genuine from the start, and shared a video to his Instagram story saying:" She's been told by the producers that she acted like s**t." And they might have even shown her? 'Cause the backtracking now is something I've never seen before. You don't backtrack like that unless you've been told about yourself."
