Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have reunited with The Queen for the first time in two years since quitting as senior working royals. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew to the UK to visit the Queen, which was on their way to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands. The Invictus Games will take place this weekend. It is understood that Harry and Meghan visited Windsor Castle on Thursday. The couple's spokesperson confirmed that they visited the Queen herself before their Invictus Games appearance. It is also believed that the two met Harry's father, Prince Charles. On Thursday, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Queen would not attend the traditional Easter Sunday service at St George's Chapel in Windsor.

The Queen, who will turn 96 next week, has been experiencing mobility issues. Recently, she recovered from COVID-19 and spoke about feeling "very tired and exhausted" with a former Covid patient and his wife during a virtual visit to the Royal London hospital. The reunion with the Queen follows Harry's absence from his grandfather, Prince Philip's, memorial service that occurred in London last month. A spokesperson for Harry confirmed earlier in March that he would miss the service for the Duke of Edinburgh, but that he hoped to visit the Queen soon.

Prince Harry is bringing a claim against the Home Office after being told he would no longer be given the same degree of personal protective security when visiting from the US, despite offering to pay for it himself. After stepping back from royal duties in January 2020, the royal couple moved to California.Harry wants to bring his children, Archie, aged two, and 10-month-old Lilibet, to visit, but he and his family are "unable to return to his home" because it is too dangerous, his legal representative has said.
