Prince Charles Allegedly Accepted £1M From Bin Laden's Family

It has been revealed that Prince Charles allegedly accepted a £1M donation by Osama bin Laden's family.

The prince allegedly met with the two half-brothers of the terrorist responsible for the September 11 attacks in 2001 that killed almost 2,000 people in New York City, USA.The meeting has been said to have taken place in 2013, and reports claim that many of the royal's close advisors urged Charles to return the money.Clarence House has denied that Prince Charles was personally involved in this exchange stating that: "The Prince of Wales' Charitable Fund has assured us that thorough due diligence was undertaken in accepting this donation.

"The decision to accept was taken by the charity's trustees alone and any attempt to characterise it otherwise is false."Nevertheless, the charity have admitted accepting the family's money however why the brothers sought to donate such a sum to the Royal Family is still unknown and perhaps, unusual.

Responding to speculations, the Prince of Wales' Charitable Fund said: "The donation from Sheik Bakr bin Laden in 2013 was carefully considered by PWCF trustees at the time.Parties are insisting that Prince Charles did not have direct involvement in accepting the donations. "Due diligence was conducted, with information sought from a wide range of sources, including government.

The decision to accept the donation was taken wholly by the trustees. Any attempt to suggest otherwise is misleading and inaccurate."However, The Sunday Times instead claim that Charles actually met up with Bakr personally just two years after Osama bin Laden was killed by US special forces in Pakistan.Advisors allegedly discouraged the fund from accepting the money, one whom stated that the money "would not be good for anybody."

Earlier this year, Prince Charles was under similar scrutiny after reports circulated that the Royal had accepted a briefcase full of cash as a 'charitable' donation from the former prime minister of Qatar.
