Maya Jama might be keeping her love life on the low, but the streets are watching and so are the paps. The TV presenter and certified baddie was recently spotted with Manchester City footballer Rúben Dias, seemingly trying to duck photographers after a private lunch date.

After the date, Maya cheekily posted a video from the car saying: “We’re currently being followed by a van of paps.” A playful nod, but also the first time she publicly acknowledged Dias on her socials, making it the strongest “soft launch” she’s dropped so far.

According to reports, the pair first connected at the MTV EMAs in November 2024, and it’s been giving slow-burn ever since. But the fire’s definitely there. Dias has been introduced to Maya’s inner circle, including her mum and brother during a Wembley match outing, and sources say Maya’s even started taking Portuguese lessons, which screams commitment more than casual.

And while they’re yet to post a full couple selfie or go “IG official,” som fans have already crowned them one of the stealthiest celeb couples of the year.

Of course, this comes months after Maya’s final split from longtime love Stormzy in mid-2024, a relationship that had the internet rooting for a fairytale ending. But both stars seem to be finding new chapters.

Stormzy, for his part, has also sparked dating rumours after being spotted kissing Grammy-winning R&B singer Victoria Monét at Heathrow Airport back in October 2024. The two were seen getting cosy just weeks after both had gone public with their respective breakups. While neither have confirmed the romance, Stormzy later dropped lyrics in a surprise May 2025 track saying he’d “met his wife” and described her as looking like both Maya and Victoria, sending fans spiralling into speculation.

So while Maya and Dias are serving soft launch realness, Stormzy might be out here hard-launching through bars.
