Congratulations are in order for former Islander Whitney Adebayo as she becomes the latest ambassador for the Gymshark family! The reality show star has joined forces with the brand as an ambassador to launch a headband that’s been made for black gym goers to help with their hair needs.

Diffuse Sweat Headband, is designed with the black community in mind but suitable for all hair types. This multi-wear headband was created in the aim to support individuals on their fitness journey.

Whitney expresses her excitement, stating, “Working with Gymshark as they create an inclusive line of headbands has been an absolute dream come true. As a Nigerian woman who has spent the entirety of my career in the hair industry, there is such a gap in the fitness market for people with textured hair. Being involved in this campaign with Gymshark has been an incredibly rewarding process that has allowed me to tap into my passion for hair and fitness. I’m excited for everyone to experience this amazing product for themselves, in and out of the gym.”

With her track record in the hair industry, it only makes sense for the reality star to add to her many hats. The unique product was described as being designed as ‘one size fits all’ with stretch-to-fit material to accommodate various hairstyles including, wigs, box braids and more.

The sweat band will allow moisture to be transferred from the skin to the outer layer of the headband and will be essential for fitness goers with gelled edges, silk presses and wig wearers.

This headband will be available online from 15th February!
