Love & Hip Hop New York star Yandy Smith is in hot water after a UK man came forward claiming he and the reality TV star had an affair. In a now-deleted Instagram story, London-based fitness trainer, Michael Adusei, alleged that he was “involved” with Yandy Smith “over a period of time”. This revelation comes shortly after Smith’s former stylist accused her of cheating on her husband and fellow Love & Hip Hop star, Mendeecees, in London.

Cheating allegations and other accusations have surrounded Smith and Mendeecees’ relationship since they began dating in 2008. However, things blew up further when Smith’s ex-stylist put his accusations on blast in a since-deleted Instagram video. In the video, the stylist and former friend, Bryant, dubbed Smith “ungrateful” after Smith allegedly took him to London for his birthday. He then claimed to believe that Smith had ulterior motives, saying, “That wasn’t for me, London was for you”. He added: “we went to London so you could F**k your side n***a”.

Following the revelation of Smith’s cheating scandal, Adusei took it upon himself to come clean. In a statement, he said: “Out of respect for everyone involved, I’ve stayed silent as the internet did what it does. But to be clear, yes, I was involved with Yandy Smith, and it wasn’t just a one-time situation. It happened over period of time.”

He added: “I’m not here to argue, defend, or point fingers. I take responsibility for my part and am moving forward privately. I won’t be speaking on this again. Respectfully, let’s all move on”.

Adusei then continued to spill the tea on his secret relationship in an interview with US blogger Tasha K. He claims to have met Smith around two or three years ago in Ghana, and approached her after a club night, having known who she was. He continued to describe how Smith seemed “shocked” at how he boldly approached her as though he knew her. He then claims to have slid into her Instagram DM’s, and said “Bob’s your uncle, from there we just kicked off like that”. He alleged the pair then began speaking every day, with Smith even visiting him in London from time to time.

When asked by Tasha if the pair used protection, Adusei confirmed they had. Adusei went on to say that Smith claimed she and Mendeecees were not officially married. He then recounted a time when Smith accepted a call from Mendeecees in the car, which made him “uncomfortable”. Amid all the drama, commenters have criticised both Bryant and Adusei for speaking out rather than keeping the information to themselves. Smith has not yet commented on the ongoing allegations of cheating.
