Kylie Jenner has responded to the criticism she has received for asking fans to donate to her a GoFundMe to help her cover her makeup stylist's medical expenses. Many were confused at the notion, and wondered why Kylie couldn't cover the expenses herself - after Forbes reported the reality TV star to have a net worth of $1B.
Kylie has now come out and directly responded to such claims via a statement on her Instagram Story. She started off by saying that she felt it was important to clear up the "false narrative" that she was not paying for her makeup artist' medical bills, and that she was requesting money from her fans.
Kylie then went on to make her current relationship with Samuel Rauda, and said: "Sam isn't my makeup artist and unfortunately, we don't have a personal relationship anymore, but I have worked with him a few years ago and think he's the sweetest"She found out about Sam's accident through Ariel's post, Kylie then recalled contacting Ariel to find out more details in regards to Samuel's condition.
This conversation led her to visiting Sam's GoFundMe."They had already raised $6K, so I put in $5K to reach their original goal, and thought I'd post on my Stories to gain more awareness if anyone else felt compelled to share or donate."Kylie went on to say that her fans know that she "does things from the heart" and tries to be as helpful as she can.The reality star went on to add:"Let's all stay positive and keep Sam, his family and anyone you know who is going through a difficult time in our prayers. I hope you have a beautiful day and let's all encourage each other to help.
