On 27 December, Cenat shared a post to his 3 million ‘X’ followers announcing his break up with internet personality Gabrielle Alayah.
"I'm single I will never be in another relationship again,” signalling the end of the couple's romance.
His statement offered no detailed explanation, leaving room for internet sleuths to draw their own conclusions about what happened. Social media users quickly suggested the breakup stemmed from alleged infidelity from Gabrielle, including claims involving rapper NBA YoungBoy, though neither Cenat or Alayah have publicly confirmed these rumours.
In an Instagram story, Gabrielle Alayah pushed back the cheating allegations and addressed the break up. “I never cheated on him … play that sympathetic role somewhere else, please.”
Alayah also suggested that she made the decision to end the relationship, and criticised the streamer for framing her to be at fault. “I left, now you wanna get on the internet and rush to paint a false narrative about me”
With Cenat recently opening up about his mental health struggles, some fans empathized with his honesty regarding his feelings towards the split. Fellow streamer and rapper, DDG (whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) also showed support for Cenat amidst the drama, saying to him “many more heart breaks to come as you get older, sh*t ain’t gon do nun but make you smarter”
The couple confirmed their relationship publicly in December 2024, with Cenat announcing it during his birthday livestream after months of speculation from fans. Given both creators’ sizable online followings, the relationship and its sudden end, quickly became a discussion piece within streamer and influencer circles.
For now, both Cenat and Alayah seem to be moving forward independently. Cenat’s short statement suggested he is stepping back from romantic relationships, while Alayah’s response focused on addressing and protecting her reputation.
