Dami Hope, who rose to fame on Love Island before becoming an influencer, recently went Instagram official with his new girlfriend, Jamila, nearly six months after his split from Indiyah Polack.

The 30-year-old shared a sweet Instagram video of himself and his rumoured new flame dancing and singing along to the viral TikTok track Slick while sitting in a car, with Jamila leaning over to kiss him on the cheek. Dami captioned it: “Don’t ask…just press play.”

Dami first rose to fame in 2022 on series 8 of Love Island, where his style, charm and confident personality quickly made him a fan favourite. Since leaving the villa, Dami has carved out a successful influencer career, working with major fashion and lifestyle brands including Google Pixel, Neutrogena, ASOS and Heineken. Dami maintains a strong presence on social media, where he shares glimpses of his travels, style and day-to-day life.

The latest such glimpse has audiences speculating that he may have officially moved on, including fellow Love Island star turned influencer Tyrique Hyde, who commented:

“Hard launch?”

2019 Love Island winner Amber Gill seemed just as uncertain as some of Dami’s fans, commenting:

“HUH?”

Whilst many fans were likely holding out hope for a reunion between Indiyah and Dami, others knew in April that this was unlikely after Dami accused Indiyah of being unfaithful. Speaking on Paul C. Brunson’s podcast, he said:

“It was a thing of, stories weren’t adding up. Her story just wasn’t adding up and then eventually she came forward to tell me and then we had to, obviously I said, ‘I can’t be in this relationship’.”

Dami was referring to Indiyah’s viral moment in January this year, when she was spotted locking lips with Marlon Lundgren Garcia, a Swedish-American Twitch streamer, TikTok creator and former collegiate basketball player.

This isn’t the first time Dami’s post-break-up life has garnered attention and speculation. In March, Dami posted himself in Thailand alongside an unidentified woman, sparking fresh dating rumours. In a series of video clips that Dami posted alongside the caption “Postcards from Thailand”, Dami could be seen canoodling with a braided beauty, with several of the pictures suggesting a budding new romance, including one of her head resting against his face and chest and another with her arm around his waist.

As speculation continues to grow, fans will no doubt be watching closely to see whether Dami truly confirms a new relationship or if he was just enjoying his summer.
