Born Oakley Neil Caesar-Su, British drill and hip-hop rapper Central Cee recently bought his brother’s girlfriend one of the coveted Hermès Birkin 35 bags, which retail from approximately £10,000.

West London’s Central Cee, also commonly known as Cench, dropped off the bag for Veronica Charles’ birthday, but can only be seen in the video through his mirror reflection. Cench sports dark glasses and does not say a word as the birthday girl is initially visibly shocked before breaking into tears. She later shared more footage of the luxury bag in a post captioned, “spoilt pookie”. Cench did not broadcast the moment to his 17 million followers.

Cench, who was born and raised in London to an Irish mother and a Guyanese-Chinese father, is estimated to have a net worth of over £4.4 million. Since amassing his millions through multiple platinum-certified songs such as Doja, Sprinter (with Dave), and BAND4BAND, Cench has become nearly as infamous for his fashion choices and luxury lifestyle as he has for his music. His urban fashion style often pairs Nike Tech and streetwear tracksuits with high-value jewellery and luxury fashion items, such as the £10,500 Hermès HAC à Dos backpack and premium Rimowa luggage, which can cost upwards of £1,200.

So it is no surprise he was clued up when the Birkin bag was concerned. Cench is very private about his family and personal life, but has often shared his love for his brothers. His younger brother, Juke Caesar, is also a rapper and appeared on 23.

Cench has become known throughout his lucrative music career for sharing his luxury lifestyle with his friends and loved ones, as well as for his generous gift-giving. He famously gifted his ex-partner, influencer Madeline Argy, a brand-new Mercedes-Benz, a diamond necklace, and two diamond rings. That did not stop naysayers from questioning the purity of his actions in gifting his brother’s girlfriend the high-value bag.

One social media observer commented: “Why couldn’t he just give the little brother the money and let him buy her it?? Ye not sure about that one.”

Another added to the ongoing commentary, stating: “A real sibling is giving the brother the money for him to buy it for her instead”

The moment was appreciated by many as a special gesture between in-laws. One observer commented: “Something tells me she’s helped his brother through a difficult time and this is a sign of appreciation…”

And another added: “It’s a nice gesture for someone his brother loves.”

Either way, Central Cee seems to be the gift that keeps on giving as far as his friends and family are concerned, and the birthday girl has not only joined Cench’s family, but also a short list of Birkin owners.
