MGM Casino's owners have swiftly addressed swirling rumors, following reports by news outlets that global music icon Bruno Mars was owing a staggering $50 million (£39 million) gambling debt to them.

On Sunday, reports surfaced, citing a Vegas insider's claims that despite Mars's ongoing Las Vegas residency with MGM, he was significantly indebted to the casino. This insider suggested that a hefty portion of Mars's estimated $90 million annual earnings from his MGM residencies was funnelling directly into settling the huge debt, insinuating that MGM had considerable leverage over the "Billionaire" singer.

However, MGM Resorts International, the entity behind MGM Casino, has categorically refuted these claims in a statement to Variety, labeling the allegations against Mars as "completely false." According to an MGM spokesperson, Mars is free of any financial liabilities to MGM, emphasising the strong, respect-based partnership between the two.

"Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM. Together, we are excited to continue creating unforgettable experiences for our guests," the spokesperson remarked.

As Mars's Las Vegas residencies approach their ninth year, MGM celebrates a fruitful multi-year collaboration with the artist. "We’re proud of our relationship with Bruno Mars, one of the world’s most thrilling and dynamic performers," they added, noting Mars's capacity to draw international audiences to his shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM and the new Pinky Ring lounge at Bellagio.

Mars has not yet made any public statements regarding these debunked allegations.
