Caitlyn Jenner has shared her views on trans women taking part in women's sports, and her viewpoint is not exactly what some expected.
Caitlyn was stopped on her "Saturday morning coffee run" and ended up being posed with a question in regards to trans women in sports. The reporter asked what Caitlyn's opinion was on trans women who partake in women's sports. In response to the question, the former Olympian made it clear that she was opposed to the idea, and even went on to say that it's "Just not fair".
The reporter went on to ask if being in opposition to the idea was a matter of revalidating the identity of trans women, to which Caitlyn said "Have a nice day" and refused to respond to the question directly. This has been a debate for quite some time now, and many have found trans women competing in women's sports unfair due to their physical advantage of being born with testosterone and generally being bigger and stronger than the average biological woman.
On the flip side, many would argue that turning trans women away from women's sports would be anti-trans because some believe that once a man transitions into a woman, they should only be seen as a woman and treated accordingly.Residents, what is your opinion on the matter?
