Actress Adjoa Andoh is facing backlash on social media following comments made in regards to the King's coronation earlier today.

Andoh, well known for her role in the popular British series, Bridgerton and it's spin off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, appeared during today's TV scheduling to share her thoughts on the coronation of King Charles III.

The actress condemned the lack of diversity present on the royal balcony, referring to the iconic moment as "terribly white".

Fellow citizens were quick to call out Andoh on her comments, questioning why the race of the royals is at question in this moment.

Presenter, Darron Grimes, implied that the comment was racist, and pointed out that if the balcony was described as terribly black, it would be seen an unacceptable by society.

Others have accused the actress of perpetuating division, with some social media users even contacting broadcast regulator, OFCOM, about the comments.

In the clip, Ms Andoh references the contrast between the diversity seen in the initial event at Westminster Abbey to the lack of diversity seen on the famous balcony. However, many have scrutinised the actress for expecting diversity in a moment between a strictly white family.

The actress is also under scrutiny for referencing children such as Prince William and Kate's three children, George, Charlotte and Louis.

Social media seemed to collectively band against the comments made by Adjoa Andoh; however, a statement by the actress has not yet been released.
