Police have launched an urgent appeal after Birmingham drill rapper #Tallerz reportedly absconded from HMP Sudbury while serving a lengthy prison sentence for robbery offences. The artist, whose real name is Tyreece Clarke-Jones, is said to have left the Derbyshire open prison on May 23, prompting an ongoing search by officers.

Derbyshire Police confirmed the 28-year-old was serving an eight-year and nine-month sentence linked to a series of violent robberies carried out across the Midlands.

Clarke-Jones previously admitted his role in a 2021 armed raid at a One Stop store in Handsworth, where security guards transporting cash were threatened with weapons including an axe and a hammer. The robbery involved around £20,000 being stolen.

Investigators also connected him to several other organised robberies across Birmingham, with the combined value of stolen money reportedly totalling around £330,000.

In a public appeal issued this week, Derbyshire Police urged members of the public not to approach Clarke-Jones if spotted.

A force spokesperson said: “Tyreece Clarke-Jones left HMP Sudbury on Saturday, May 23, and enquiries are ongoing to locate him.”

Police described him as around 6ft tall, with a muscular build and black braided hair. He also has tattoos on both forearms.

When last seen, Clarke-Jones was reportedly wearing grey jogging bottoms with a black waistband, black socks and no shirt.

Officers say he has known links to several areas across the country, including Birmingham, West Bromwich, Yardley and Walsall in the West Midlands. He is also believed to have connections to Sheffield, Leeds and Failsworth in Greater Manchester.
