BBUK ROCHELLE GETS WARNING AS SHE MOCKS YASMIN OVER HER WEIGHT

Big Brother UK housemate Rochelle Rackman has found herself at the centre of another controversy after making repeated comments about fellow contestant Yasmin's weight, prompting intervention from Big Brother and widespread criticism from viewers.

During Monday night's episode (12 October), Rochelle made a series of jokes about Yasmin's appearance while discussing her job as a schoolteacher.

Rochelle claimed she couldn't imagine Yasmin working in a school, joking that she would eat the children's packed lunches before proceeding to impersonate her sneaking food from pupils.

The remarks didn't stop there, with Rochelle also comparing the size of Yasmin's underwear to a parachute and suggesting that her bed was giving way beneath her.

Although Yasmin initially laughed along, she later acknowledged to other housemates that Rochelle kept calling her fat.

Following the exchange, Rochelle was called into the Diary Room and given a verbal warning by Big Brother over her remarks.

Rochelle maintained that the comments were intended as jokes and banter, pointing to Yasmin's reaction. She subsequently apologised to Yasmin, although some viewers have questioned whether she fully understood why her remarks were considered inappropriate.

This isn't the first time Rochelle's comments about weight have attracted criticism.

Earlier in the series, she questioned former housemate Millie Jarrett's eating habits during a conversation about Millie's plans to undergo weight-loss surgery.

When Millie explained her decision, Rochelle challenged her efforts to lose weight, telling her, "Yeah, but I've seen what you eat!"

Millie later admitted that Rochelle's comments had affected her, expressing her frustration with the housemate following her eviction.

The latest incident has only intensified criticism of Rochelle's behaviour, with viewers accusing her of repeatedly making personal remarks towards other contestants while facing relatively few consequences.

Across social media, some have also questioned the way Rochelle's behaviour has been handled compared with other housemates, suggesting that the show's rules are not being applied consistently.

One Resident commented:

"Different rules for different people. Yasmin has no choice but laugh it off cos if she takes offence now she's aggressive."

A third expressed their frustration, stating:

"Rochelle is VILE, they've allowed her to get away with murder in that house!"

The criticism comes amid a particularly controversial series for the ITV reality show, which has already attracted numerous complaints to broadcasting regulator Ofcom over the conduct of several housemates.

The episode featuring Rochelle's comments towards Yasmin reportedly generated a further 53 complaints, adding to the growing scrutiny surrounding the programme.

Despite receiving a verbal warning, Rochelle remains in the house, with viewers continuing to question whether Big Brother has done enough to address her behaviour.
