UK rapper Marnz Malone has gone viral after posting a series of Snapchat videos showing him confronting a man he claims is one of his “opps” inside a Dubai mall.
Marnz, who built a name for himself through his raw storytelling style and viral freestyles, was previously deported from the UK to Jamaica in December 2025 after being released early from prison. Multiple reports state he had been serving an 11 year sentence connected to a 2021 firearms case.
Now, the rapper is back in headlines after footage surfaced of a tense altercation in Dubai. In the clips circulating online, Marnz can allegedly be seen gripping the man’s chain during a heated exchange, while the pair appear moments away from getting physical. The man is also seen throwing water towards the rapper as members of the public and security watch inside the busy shopping centre.
Marnz later captioned the footage claiming he had “caught” his opp in Dubai, before making even more explosive allegations. According to the rapper, the man involved is supposedly connected to a situation that led to fellow UK rapper J Hus allegedly being sent to prison in Dubai.

But not long after the speculation started gaining traction, J Hus appeared to shut the rumours down himself. The “Did You See” rapper uploaded a short eight second clip to his Instagram story with the caption “Astaghfurullah” seemingly clearing the online chatter while casually proving he is very much free and active. The post quickly began circulating across social media, with many interpreting it as Hus brushing off the entire situation without directly addressing the claims.

Marnz Malone first rose to prominence through his distinctive rap style and gritty narratives that resonated with fans of UK street music. His career has been punctuated by legal issues and time spent in prison, including an 11 year firearms sentence linked to a 2021 case. After his release and subsequent deportation to Jamaica in 2025, he began rebuilding his career online, gaining traction through freestyles, storytelling clips and viral social media moments.
Some users criticised Marnz for recording and uploading the confrontation in the first place, particularly in a country like Dubai where public disturbances can carry serious consequences. Others treated the situation like live reality TV, noting that UK rap beef had somehow followed the pair all the way into a luxury shopping mall. One person commented,
“Playing these games in Dubai like they won’t lock you up for life and throw away th keys! Must think he’s in England that encourages this kind of behaviour.”

“So you’re chasing a man who you dislike because he put your boy in jail so you also want to give him the chance to put you in jail too? How can you allow someone to have that much control over you to the point where you’re willing to risk your freedom.”
Another said, tagging Marnz Malone,
“You got a second chance at life, you are free now and you’re doing extremely well. You have nothing to prove regarding your street past, loyalty or gangster but if you continue engaging in this manner and sticking to the street code, you will find yourself in a cell or coffin and be another great rapper we all will forget about in due time wondering ‘what if they stayed free?’ Move away from this lifestyle and just do the music thing.”
