Just days after Spain lifted the World Cup trophy, attention has shifted away from the pitch and towards Lamine Yamal’s girlfriend, Inés García Santos, as old pictures and videos linked to the influencer continue circulating online.
García is a 21-year-old Spanish fashion and beauty content creator from Seville who has built an audience of millions across social media. She and Yamal reportedly went public with their relationship shortly before the World Cup, with García regularly sharing her support for the footballer throughout Spain’s tournament run.
The couple appeared to confirm their romance during the celebrations following Spain’s 1-0 victory over Argentina in the World Cup final. García later shared several pictures of herself and the 19-year-old Barcelona star embracing and posing together with the trophy as confetti fell around them.
However, the celebrations were soon followed by online speculation after screenshots and older clips involving García began resurfacing.
One image circulating across social media appears to show García alongside a man described online as her alleged ex-partner. Screenshots reportedly taken from the post appear to show her commenting,
"I love you, babe," with the account in question liking her message.
It has also been claimed that the interaction took place just weeks before García travelled to support Yamal during the World Cup. However, neither García nor the man pictured has publicly confirmed the nature or timeline of their alleged relationship.

A separate resurfaced video shows García joking around with one of her friends as the pair are asked which footballer they prefer between Yamal and Kylian Mbappé. García's friend instead answers, "Bellingham," prompting García to respond, "Definitely Bellingham," before they both begin laughing.

Jude Bellingham is a 23-year-old England and Real Madrid midfielder who was among England's most prominent players during the tournament.

The resurfaced content has sparked mixed reactions, with some users scrutinising García's dating history and questioning the timing of her reported relationship with Yamal.
However, several commenters quickly came to her defence, arguing that old relationships and playful videos should not be treated as a scandal.
"Is she not allowed to have an ex?" one person questioned.
Others pointed out that the circulating content appears to predate her public relationship with Yamal.
García has since spoken publicly about receiving a significant amount of online abuse and hateful messages following Spain's World Cup triumph, as rumours surrounding her past continue to spread across social media.
