KSI LINED UP AS BACKUP GUEST JUDGE TO STAND IN FOR BRUNO TONIOLI ON BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT

KSI, the YouTube influencer and boxer, is reportedly in talks to stand in for Bruno Tonioli on Britain's Got Talent (BGT) next year. This move aims to attract a younger audience to the popular ITV show. The 30-year-old internet sensation could be on standby to fill in for Tonioli, 68, if there are scheduling conflicts due to Tonioli's commitments with Dancing With The Stars.

Auditions for the next series of BGT are expected to be held earlier than usual, which might clash with Tonioli's duties on the American dance competition. A source told The Sun, "Simon Cowell knows KSI is a huge hit with the younger generation. He would be a great addition to pull in teenage fans, which is something the producers are keen to do." The source also mentioned that KSI is in discussions with ITV bosses to work out a deal that fits his busy schedule.

These developments come amidst rumours that Tonioli could be dropped from the next series of BGT. However, Simon Cowell has dismissed these claims, confirming that the Italian choreographer will return next year despite potential scheduling conflicts. Cowell admitted that while Tonioli will remain a judge, there will be a stand-in for some auditions he cannot attend.

Appearing on Heart Radio on Wednesday, Cowell, 64, clarified the situation, stating, "I would not replace him. I love Bruno on the show." He explained that although Tonioli's schedule poses a problem next year, they will have a temporary replacement for the auditions he misses. When host Jamie Theakston asked about the headline claiming "Britain's Got Talent set to drop judge, Bruno," Cowell confirmed it was false, reiterating his support for Tonioli.

KSI's potential involvement in BGT signifies a strategic move to modernise the show's appeal and engage a younger demographic, ensuring the show's continued success and relevance in the competitive landscape of British television.
