A 32-year-old social media influencer has died after being struck by a car in central London last weekend, in an incident that has since led to serious criminal charges and widespread public attention. Klaudia Zakrzewska, from Essex, was involved in a collision in Argyll Street in Soho during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services transported her to hospital following the incident, but she sadly died from her injuries earlier today (25/4/26.)
Police have charged Gabrielle Carrington, 29, of Broadfield Road in Manchester, in connection with the incident. Carrington faces multiple charges including murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink driving.
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, who is leading the investigation, expressed condolences in a statement following Zakrzewska’s death. She said: We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Klaudia's family and friends in light of this tragic update. Our thoughts are also with everyone impacted by this incident. We recognise that this case has generated significant interest and discussion on social media, however, we would urge the public to refrain from further speculation."

Carrington appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 21 April, where she was remanded in custody. She is due to appear next at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 19 May. Authorities have confirmed that, following Zakrzewska’s death, the charge of attempted murder will now be upgraded to murder.
Police have also addressed the growing discussion surrounding the case online. Officials are urging the public to avoid speculation and to refrain from sharing graphic footage related to the incident. Investigators warned that circulating such material could cause further distress to those affected, as well as risk compromising the ongoing criminal proceedings.

In addition to Zakrzewska, security guard Anoosh Chaichy, 58, sustained life-changing injuries in the collision, while a third woman was treated for minor injuries.
Carrington, who has amassed more than 360,000 followers on Instagram, had gained public recognition following her appearance on The X Factor, where her group Ms Dynamix, progressed to the third week of the live shows. The case continues to develop as authorities proceed with their investigation.
