-to-The rofessional Boxing Association (PBA) has announced the suspension of boxer Baffour Boateng, widely known by his ring name Armz Korleone, for a period of four years due to violations of anti-doping regulations. The suspension is retroactively effective from 17th November 2023, following a thorough investigation into the matter.

On 17th November 2023, Armz Korleone underwent a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) test, which revealed significantly elevated levels of synthetic testosterone in his system. The test indicated a testosterone to epitestosterone (T/E) ratio of 34:1, a figure far exceeding the permissible limit of 4:1, as stipulated by VADA regulations.

Despite being allowed to request a B sample testing, r. Boateng declined to pursue this option. While he has denied the use of synthetic testosterone, he failed to provide any substantiated evidence to support his claim. Additionally, Mr Boateng did not appeal the judgement within the 14-day window provided to him.

As a consequence of this ruling, the bout between Armz Korleone and Minikon, which took place on 17th November 2023 during the Misfits 011 event, has been declared a No Contest. This decision effectively nullifies the outcome of the fight, emphasising the PBA's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the sport.

The PBA remains steadfast in its efforts to ensure a clean and competitive environment for all athletes. The association will continue to collaborate with anti-doping organisations globally to enforce compliance with regulations and safeguard the trust of the boxing community.

The suspension of Armz Korleone serves as a stern reminder of the consequences athletes face when found in violation of doping regulations.
