TWO WOMEN DIED AFTER MANCHERSTER HOSPITAL GAVE THEM LISTERIA CONTAMINATED SANDWICHES
Two women died at Manchester Royal Infirmary after being given chicken and mayonnaise sandwiches by the hospital. An inquest has heard that the sandwiches were contaminated with listeria, causing the women to develop listeriosis, which can be deadly. Beverley Sowah (57) and Enid Heap (84) passed away in the hospital less than a month from one another.
