NORTH KOREA TO OPEN BORDERS FOR FOREIGN TOURISTS IN DECEMBER
North Korea is set to reopen its borders to foreign tourists in December, starting with the northeastern city of Samjiyon. This will be the first time the country welcomes international visitors in nearly five years since sealing its borders due to COVID-19. Samjiyon, near Mount Paektu, has undergone significant development and will be the initial destination for tourists, with the possibility of expanding access to other areas soon.
